More than 25 years of PLM experience and know-how
Since our creation in 1995, our company has greatly evolved and adapted to the markets and we are planning strong growth in the years to come.
Birth and growth within an industrial flagship
CIMPA was created in 1995 from the Aerospace Research Centre in Suresnes (Paris). Initially a division of the Research Centre, CIMPA became a fully-fledged subsidiary thanks to the conviction and determination of its founders. CIMPA's purpose was to apply the new technologies resulting from research to the industrial needs of the group and to support and spearhead its major changes.
Under the leadership of its parent company, Aerospatiale, EADS and then Airbus, CIMPA experienced strong growth and opened numerous sites in France and then in Europe (Germany, United Kingdom, Spain).
Expansion and diversification with Sopra Steria, a leading digital services group
In 2015, the company was acquired by Sopra Steria, one of the leaders in digital transformation. CIMPA thus joins a dynamic and independent group that enables it to benefit from a strong complementarity of services and to open up to new clients.
In 2018, CIMPA acquired 2MoRO, a company specialising in aircraft maintenance software, in order to strengthen its offer in this field.
Today, CIMPA continues to grow and strengthens its diversification strategy on new accounts and sectors.
A complete and efficient ecosystem
With a staff of 1,700, CIMPA also relies on a wider ecosystem made up of other Group entities and strategic partners.
Within Sopra Steria, CIMPA is part of the Aeroline organisation, which is dedicated to the aerospace and aviation industry and works alongside key players in the sector to meet industrial, technological and human challenges, both locally and internationally.
Strong alliances have been forged with the main PLM software publishers in order to acquire specific expertise on these solutions and to be able to recommend and implement them according to the contexts and needs of our customers. However, we remain completely independent in order to provide neutral advice on the most suitable solutions.
