CIMPA has made the choice not to undertake an ISO 14001 initiative but it wants the awareness of its personnel to be raised to environmental protection.

Each CIMPA employee is made aware when joining the company that they can contribute to this civic and proactive initiative. By performing a few simple gestures in its daily life, CIMPA contributes actively to protecting the environment.
For example:

  • Significant reduction in paper consumption
  • Control of our energy consumption
  • Improved waste management with sorting and recycling

Aside from the employees, any person intervening within a CIMPA unit, interns or service providers are associated with these reflexes.

Likewise, employees on assignment at a customer’s must comply with the Environmental Policy in force at this customer’s. For example, personnel working at an Airbus site must become familiar and comply with the Airbus environmental policy since at their level they can contribute to controlling environmental impacts and thus contribute to reaching the associated objectives of Airbus.

A company consumes energy (electricity, gas, coal, fuel oil etc.) consumables (paper, ink cartridges etc.), water etc.
Our activities thus have an impact on the environment, among which:

  • The use of natural non renewable resources,
  • Air and water pollution,
  • Waste generation,
  • Greenhouse gas emissions.

Eco-accountability is the commitment of companies to limiting the environmental impacts of their internal operating modes: travel, energy consumption, consumption of goods.

Our activities and the planet

Today, 20% of humans consume alone over 86% of the planet’s resources. If the entire world had our European consumption habits, 3 planets would be necessary to meet the needs of humanity.

Combating climate change

The increase in the emission of greenhouse gases such as CO2 entails global warming. The speed of warming observed worries the international community. In the next 100 years the temperature could rise by 1.4 to 5.8°C and generate major climate changes upsetting natural environments, causing a rise in sea level and increasing the number of natural weather disasters (heat waves, storms, flooding etc.).

Responsible use of natural non-renewable resources

The energy at the core of our economy comes from oil… What about tomorrow? Some experts predict that oil production will peak by 2020. This is the time when oil production will begin to decrease leading to sharp rises in the price of this raw material: shortfalls will then affect our lifestyles.

Not wasting

A French person produces over 1 kg of waster per day. Added to this is the invisible waste released even before it reaches the consumer. This waste has a double impact on the planet. It contributes to the excessive exploitation of water and air resources and it deteriorates biodiversity, the quality of soil.
