An easy-to-use tool with built-in assisted diagnosis, it enables to perform and report precise measurements on site, even in demanding environments.

 

FingerMind's MRO Mobile has been included in Damage Folio™, our digital damage reporting solution.  MRO Mobile has been considered as the most efficient browser available on mobile device to access maintenance documentation. Thanks to this completely integrated solution, customers benefit both from an efficient damage reporting system and an easy access to maintenance documentation on mobile devices.

Digital Mock-up services to improve quality and efficiency

The Digital Mock-up is a complete virtual environment that enables to define, control, optimise and share 3D product data during the entire lifecycle, from development and manufacturing through to operation and maintenance. This can also be achieved in complex, multi-site, multi-disciplinary organisations.
The implementation of a DMU relies on specific 3-dimensional visualisation technologies, as designed and marketed by numerous PLM software companies, but also implies particular ways of working with adapted methods and processes.

3. New PLM service offering

Of course, CIMPA’s roots run deep in the aerospace and defence sector, which remains our core area of activity, but we have also developed in other industrial sectors and broadened our palette of services, as our brand new website reflects.                                                                                                                                                                       

We have long provided services to Airbus, our largest customer along with other entities of Airbus Group, renowned to be on the cutting edge in terms of PLM investment, practices and innovations, which CIMPA both contributes to and benefits from. Drawing on the breadth and depth of this experience, as well as on the exchange of know-how, CIMPA decided to expand and to offer its expertise to other industry sectors with similar characteristics (such as long life-cycles, safety issues, regulatory constraints, etc.), and has significantly diversified its activities. Now firmly established in these industries, CIMPA has just launched a new website that both reflects this diversification and showcases its wide-ranging PLM services. 4. Cutting through complexity with Configuration Management

Technological advances and an ever-growing need for highly individualised products, lead to increased product complexity and customisation in many industries. Globalised and outsourced supply chains also generate complexity, in terms of process visibility, quality controls and data overload; not to mention rigorous regulatory and certification requirements.

In order to help you keep pace with product complexity, CIMPA offers comprehensive Configuration Management services as a transversal management methodology. This provides structured processes and data models and can:

- ensure full traceability from product requirements to product realisation;

- provide total visibility over a product’s development and its variants throughout your supply chain; 

- enable introduction of modular and configurable product platforms increasing re-use of product components and company assets (e.g. production lines) and thus driving down overall product cost.

Configuration Management can also be implemented for operating and maintaining a product or an asset as a means to track and monitor its status throughout its operational life, to keep modifications during operation under control and to provide a solid and reliable information database for any operational activity (e.g. repair, maintenance and overhaul).

For example, we provided services for Airbus Chief Engineering on A350XWB, including supporting engineering trade-off considerations and consolidation within the change process for all A350 models, securing the definition of a sound target configuration for main A/C milestones, and the link with standard specification and catalogue. Amongst our many achievements throughout this project are the launch and coordination of A350 configuration boards, contribution to the CM deliverables (analysis of technical, cost and planning repercussions), and in ensuring the global adherence to the governing configuration principles defined by Airbus.

5. Nearly 20 years working in PLM

Since its establishment, CIMPA has been involved in numerous projects involving a wide variety of sectors and customers, which have ranged from large PLM harmonization programmes to consulting missions, through to integration with upstream and downstream applications. For example, we have carried out the following missions for various clients:

  • Support the definition of the process of the whole product lifecycle, from the requirements to the taking apart where a product could be operational for a century
