  • Description of the job
    As an experienced HR generalist you will be required to undertake two primary roles:
    HR Manager for the UK and also Transnational HR Business Partner

    Each role requires interaction with HR peers and balance between the loal and transnational business requirements, working as the National Representative and with the local General Manager.

    The position reports to the HR Director based in France. Regular travel to Toulouse is required to engage with the transnational team.

    HR Manager UK
    As part of the UK management team, position has responsibility for the full HR scope in the UK, including the management and implementation of transnational, national and site-specific HR policies. This will include:
    - Disciplinary and grievance investigations: Dealing with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills
    - Performance management: coaching managers on performance management issues and processes
    - Recruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns, achieving through the transnational recruitment team
    - Training / development plans and associated budget management
    - Monthly input to the payroll provider
    - Local point of contact for managers and employees for all HR related topics
    - Representing the UK transnationally in HR matters
    - Policy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes: ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current national employment law. Ensuring line managers are up to date with changes to any policies
    - Maintenance and updating of employee benefits

    Senior HR Business Partner for UK (BU U)
    Responsibility for building strong relationships with transnational HRBP and with BU heads based in each country and their management teams to offer support and guidance on all HR topics at Company level
    - Ensuring the HR agenda is understood and implemented and that timescales for HR campaigns (training needs, bonus, annual interviews etc) are achieved
    - Defining training and development priorities according to Cimpa strategic objectives
    - Organising people reviews and contributing to the career development process
    - Ensuring a robust salary review process
    - Advising and supporting on organisational issues
    - Acting as a change agent for the intended business transformation
    Expected results
    - Delivering a holistic and proactive HR service to the business
    - Ensuring the implementation of HR policies, guidelines, processes and tools, including appropriate communication and support
    - Sharing experiences and best practices with others HRBP’s within the organisation
    - Ensuring legal compliance for all HR measures within the UK
    - Contributing to a common and harmonized HR culture
    - Enabling engaged employees through their line managers, to sustain a good social climate

    Skills and Qualifications
    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:
    -CIPD qualified preferred, ideally Member level
    -Extensive experience as HR Business Partner or HR Manager within a variety of Business environments. Experience In Engineering, Services or Consulting Company is advantageous
    -Previous experience of working within a transnational environment and actively supporting change
    -Demonstrated ability to network both internally and externally, to facilitate HR best practice within the organisation
    -Demonstrated ability to drive major initiatives through the organisation
    -English: fluent; Basic German or French language ability is an advantage
